It's been a very long time since I last published anything on this blog. Finally, I've decided to start writing posts in English once again!

I apologize that I'll be discontinuing this blog; however, I'll be moving my English articles to my main blog, which is primarily written in Thai (the language of Thailand):  AmmyMemory

While this AmmyMemoryEN will be abandoned soon after I finish this post. I'll still leave it here, and won't delete it.

Anyway, I've started publishing my very first English article on my main blog after such a long time. You can find the contents here: English articles (click). I hope you find it interesting.

Lastly, all of the published Anime Review posts here will be republished there too (for easy access).

Synopsis

Amongst ordinary people, there is a group of people who has special abilities. They were called as person who hold 'Minimum' power or 'Minimum Holders' which has only a few people who know the origin of these power and a true identity of them...

'Nice' works at Hamatora investigation office which is established in a small cafe...Customers who want any help, will always contact them by themselves (face to face). Furthermore, all person in this places work as a pair. His intimate companion is 'Murasaki'...

They always has a smooth work, however, one day, there is a rumor about a murderer who aims to assassinate all Minimum Holders...

Story and context

The context of this Anime is that all main characters live amongst ordinary society. However, they have special abilities as called 'Minimum Holder' that each person has different abilities. When they do their tasks, they will be separated as a duo. Their tasks aren't focusing on specific types of work, and they will get variety of payment e.g. high paid or unpaid. Sometimes they got tasks from police...

For person who hold the ability of Minimum Holder, all have something relate with 'the Facultus Institute'. Sometimes, there is a rumor that those who has this special ability would be accomplish in any fields of work easier than others who hasn't...

One day, there was a rumor that there is a  group of children who got weapons from somewhere. It made a hypothesis that this would be relate with the charming and famous outsider, Katsuraki Yuki...Furthermore, there is a situation that many people have fallen asleep and don't awake(!?)...Moreover, there is a rumor about some person's brain was gut and it seems to be continue in the future...

Nice - A boy who has a power of Minimum (he is one of Minimum Holders). He's self-confident and be yourself. He works with Murasaki at the Hamatora office. He's close to Art and always pamper Hajime.

Murasaki - A boy who has an ability of Minimum. He's work at the Hamatora office and pair work with Nice. He is a kind of carefully person and cherish his friendship.

Hajime - A girl who has the power of Minimum(?). Normally, she rarely smile... She's a food lovers and can eat everything at anytime.

Art - A young police inspector who has a close relationship with Nice. He is quite a strict man and serious with his work. He always care his surrounding people.

My opinion

Author's opinion after finished 12 chapters of this "Hamatora", this Anime is quite unique, although it is not that breathtaking fun or excellent action, this story still acceptable for whoever don't know what to watch (personally, I like this season).

The story run smoothly, not too fast, not too slow...The main idea rather complicate, but capable to watch and understandable. (Although, in 2-3 chapters of the beginning made me feel a little confuse and suspect about the main character's ability for a while). Author could enjoy the story of each chapter that although each chapter is summarised (except 3-4 last chapters), it also has some connecting points between each chapter which will be revealed step by step.

Things that increased the drama level and reality of this Anime is the story inserted a small point of social insulting between different groups of people (only a little point of view) which reflected towards the end that also can considered as the climax of the Anime.

To sum up, for author, this anime is acceptable for entertain, but still not enjoy enough to attract me for re-watch all of it...However, it depends on readers that you will watch it or not, as I've stated in the top of every review that the story which made me less addict, maybe it could be the most enjoyable of you. ^_^

Synopsis

'Nanase Haruka(Haru)', 2nd year high school student who fanatical in 'water' as his liveliness, when he see water, he can't tolerate, but run into it...Although, he never care about his (statistic) time (when he swim), he was once in swim club in his junior high school and won the relay race. However, he unexpectedly resigned from the swim club and no longer involved with the club. Until one day, his friends, 'Nagisa' and 'Makoto' persuade him to create the swim club of Iwatobi high school with them...

One day, Haru met his old friend, 'Matsuoka Rin' who has just come back from his studied in Australia. Rin is the person who has some past which imprinted in Haru's mind...Rin returned to Japan and challenge a swimming race with Haru who always said, 'I only swim Free'.

Story and context

Free! Iwatobi Swim Club based on the original of Light Novel, 'High☆Speed!', and was adapted to this current Free!

The story of this Anime, emphasising on the atmosphere of high school students who addict to swimming which includes student who determines his target and try his best to reach his dream, also students who live aimlessly, but delight in the water.

Nanase Haruka, one of main characters who always says that he only swim free or Freestyle. By the way, whoever see his swimming gesture, absolutely will impress in his beautiful swimming style.

Because of Nagisa has the idea to create a swimming club, he decided to persuade Haruka and Makoto to partake in the club. However, the club must have at least 4 members together with consulting teacher...

Haru has some feeling about the relay swimming which embed in his mind. The relay (medley) swimming is a swimming style that consist of 4 swimmers who have their queue to swim, by swim Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly stroke and then Freestyle. This swimming race is a swimming style which swimmers have to use their harmonise and believe in each other which can lead to their success...

Nanase Haruka - Second year high school student of Iwatobi school who addict to the touch of water. He is a person who rarely to smile, however, he always loves and cares his friends. Although he can swim only one style which is Freestyle, he is capable to swim it as beautiful as he can, while not even ever care with his time.

Ryogazaki Rei - First year high school student of Iwatobi school. He was once in track club. He always calculates everything and always do everything which represents as beautiful gesture. He is the one who Nagisa trying to persuade to join in the swimming club. His best performance is...

Episode 12

Matsuoka Rin - Second year high school student of Samezuka school. He was once in the same swimming club with Haruka in his junior high school. After that, he decided to study at Australia.

Matsuoka Gou(Kou) -First year high school student of Iwatobi school who will be a manager of Iwatobi swimming club in the future. 'Kou' is the name that she prefer to be called by others. She is Rin's younger sister who always care her brother because he looks not cheerful same as before.

Episode 3

Amagata Mio - 'Ama-chan' is the name that she was called by her students. She is the teacher who Nagisa would like to persuade to be a consulting teacher of his future swimming club. She always talk an epigram.

Episode 7

My opinion

In my opinion after finished 12 chapters of the Anime. In the beginning, the story quite plain and tardily, just to introduce the main story and each characters. After that, when author was continue watching this Anime, it had a stronger plot with complicate friendship that readers will be able to get into the story because almost all of us may sensed this kind of feeling once time in our life. This includes happiness, sadness, loneliness and gratefulness...leave-taking and meet each other once again. This anime also reflects about dream, hope and purpose of life. In contrast, there is someone who satisfy only by doing things that create happiness for him, by not concern about his future...

As I've heard, there is some feedback for this anime (almost female) who prefer to pair male and male (boy's love), the author has to admit, that author prefer to watch and read only pair between male and female (in this point, author doesn't aims to make any upset to who prefer different pair as author because author also has friends who prefer to watch or read homosexual. However, author's type of watch and read is only pair between male and female...) Author think, that some readers might afraid that this anime will be male and male or not? Author would like to confirm that the nature of this story is "represents only friendship". That most teenagers probably had a moment of fickle emotion like this anime...

In this 1st season, there is only 1 scene that almost make author stop watching the anime because a little bit afraid that this anime will be pair male and male or not? Nevertheless, that scene went smooth. The scene in author's opinion is the scene which could be considered as alter point for anime's consumers as us (to decide, continue or stop watching...Although that scene is looks as a necessary action for that character to do). As the author stated above, this anime is okay and emphasising on friendship...For readers who are not prefer boy's love type,the author would like to state that this anime is "survived". (In the 2nd season will be even more clear relation of friendship).

To sum up, this anime is not run promptly and quickly, also not focusing on sport tactics and techniques as some others sport anime...However, this anime mixed with a balance of sport's admiration (swimming) and school's life of these characters. This could be arranged as chilled and relax anime with some interesting points that made audiences suspicious. Additionally, some scenes could make audiences push forward. In the end of this 1st season, ended as a clear view that it will has next story (that it was released 2nd season after that).

Readers who worry about male and male relationship, the author can confirm, that, if readers who would like to believe (or imaging) as boy's love pair, they could. However, the core that this anime represented tends to be "friendship" more than male and male for sure. So, readers who have read all above and feel like to try this anime, author also would like to recommend this anime for you. ^_^

Synopsis

Hundred years ago, "Titan", the natural enemy of human appeared. This specie has more powerful, more abilities and bigger than human. They consume human as their food...that made human nearly extinct, remain just some groups of them...

Survived human made the high walls to divide their living areas and protect themselves from Titan. They have had a peaceful life for 100 years because Titan can't destroy through the walls into human's areas...Until one day, among panic of people, Titan who higher than 50 metres appeared!? (Which also higher than the height of the walls)...

Eren Yeager (Elen Jaeger), a boy who has such a bitter past, decided to register for apprentice military (Training Corps) and aims to be one member of "The Survey Corps" and would like to hunt Titan by himself.

Story and context

In this story, will tell about the World during a crucial crisis because human becoming extinct and remains only some groups. They made 50 metres height wall in three circle rows which are 'Wall Shena' (Sheena; Sina) which is the inner wall and the smallest one. Next to Wall Shena is 'Wall Rose' (Rosé) which is the middle wall. The last one is 'Wall Maria' which is the outer wall, biggest wall and has most populations live there. Each wall has some specific areas which can be considered as frontier (or fortress). Those areas have their entrance which linkage with outside, it also has only the door and the surrounding wall that separate people in these areas and Titans.

Shigunshina (Shiganshina) district is one of fortress areas that Eren, Mikasa and Armin live there. There are some soldiers have their duty to guard the entrance, but Eren quite unsatisfied to see that they always seems like they don't care about their duty. In facts, human have peacefully life, have adequate food and can live for 100 years...

Until one day, special Titan who has more than 50 metres height...which higher than the wall, appears amongst humanity's shock...

The Survey Corps is the only corps and only people in this corps have a chance to go outside and face everything outside the walls. Their duty is to research more about Titan, to improve and discover new ways to fight against those Titans. Members of this corps have to tolerate with such a hard practice and have to prepare for sacrifice themselves at anytime for peaceful and others' sake...Although, there are many people who blame the Survey Corps, they still do their dangerous duty...Likewise, the groups of people who insult the Survey Corps, are just people who always live peacefully and not realised about how frightful of Titan...

Eren has a bitter past and because of his anguish that made him firmly aims to participate in Training Corps and want to be a part of the Survey Corps, the Corps that he always admire as his hero since he was young...

OVA episode 1; "Else's Notebook"
The episode is telling about, the time when the 49th generation of Survey Corps survey the outside surroundings area which lead by Commander, Erwin (includes Levi and Hanji in this team). This time is the time that Hanji tried her best to request for capture exist Titan, but no one agree with her. However, Hanji has discovered the important thing from this survey which is...

OVA episode 2; "An Unexpected Visitor: The Curse of a Tormented Youth"
The episode is telling about Jean and his way of training. However, he has a conflict with Sasha, that Pixis (the highest ranking commander of the Southern Territory - Garrison Regiment) offers a competition for them which is... In this episode is quite a relax and funny episode which hardly to see.

My opinion

In my opinion after finished 25 chapters of this Anime, this can be considered as a clearly image of satirise to society about castes and classes of people. That this Anime reflects this point through three circle rows of the walls...It seems that people who live in outer wall (or live in Wall Maria) have the highest risk for dangerous to face Titan that sometimes they've directly faced with Titan and have seen people get eaten by Titan right in front of their eyes. This situation is different with people who live in middle wall (Wall Rose) and the inner wall (Wall Sheena), that these people always have a luxurious and joyous life by not even care others except their groups...

Besides of the clearly social reflects as mentioned, the story line also has excitement and attract to follow up itself that probably made audiences shocked since the end of first chapter. This Anime also has various unique characters who have different characteristics. Likewise, those characters have a development of their thinking and their action, which were made and looks real. Because in human's life always surrounding by several types of people which include people who can sacrifice themselves for others, people who don't care anyone except their beloved, or people who don't care about any life and care only external assets.

Readers who interested in, or prefer to try Anime which reflects heavy social issues, along with action and fun, author recommend 'Shingeki no Kyojin' for you. Readers also has a possibility to follow up and cheer up the characters that how can they survive from those Titans, how many Titans which they can eliminate, and how about this society at last. ^_^

Synopsis

In Tokyo, Japan always has news about "Ghoul". Ghoul is a being which has external appearances similar as human, but one of the different points is they 'consume human' as their food...Ghouls have their own territories by spreading in each districts (in Tokyo). Also, they usually hunt their food in the night...

One day, news released about rampage of "Greedily Ghoul (Swallow Ghoul)", who was called as this because, Ghoul normally eat moderate amount of food, not eat too many human in the same time as that Greedily Ghoul. Besides, there are other famous Ghouls such as "Jason" and "Foodie".

Kaneki Ken, university student who is well-behaved and bookworm, has started to interest in the beautiful girl. Until one day, he is success to has a first date with her...

Story and context

In this Anime, the story takes place in Tokyo, Japan, by all main characters live in Tokyo which means all factions include human, Ghouls and "Mystery groups who holding a bag".

The story emphasising in reality that can make audiences were so into and moved by the main idea of story about the society of Ghouls, human and holding bag's group...In this story is kind of mystery balance with action and drama (however, because this story includes dark fantasy style, so it will also has some gloomy or dark points).

In this story, will unfold Ghouls' being in their society, their lifestyle, also their thought and obstacles in their life which all of it were formed and has meaning of life in it.

For humans' view, Ghouls are horrific...For polices' view, Ghouls are useless living thing for society, also harm and danger...And, within Ghouls society, they are separated as many kinds of them which includes friendship, family, respect person, also the hater and enemies...

My opinion

In my opinion after finished this Anime, author would like to inform that Tokyo Ghoul was the first dark fantasy Anime for me. To tell the truth, author felt a little frighten with unexpected blood scenes (and a bit haunted) because of the first scene began with such a beautiful scenery of Tokyo from high view (which, in this story created quite a beautiful graphic).

Around the introduction part, it was rather a serious in my opinion because it has twisted plot that make audiences moved by those characters with stress and confuse at the same time with them...When author was continue watching it, the story presented more deep details in a new social as "Ghoul's society". At this point, the story starting to represents social reflects that human's society separated with Ghoul's society, also presents severe aggressive fights without any investigation or scrutiny.

One clearly consideration point is, in every societies have both good and bad person. Non society that has only good people, likewise, non of society which has merely bad people...

Overall, some fighting scenes maybe too severe, by contrast, there are many scenes that avoid clearly severe scenes, just to let audiences know what's happened. If any readers would like to try dark fantasy anime, may try this one because this story has it's own advantage that make audiences would like to follow. Furthermore, this first season completed with such an exciting ending that the main character had a great change.^^

(This song, when I first listened, this song quite unique. However, when I repeated, it made me feel that this song is incredibly match with the anime's scenes!)
